Could Naughty Dog already be hard at work on Uncharted 4? Find out why some think the studio is already working on the latest adventures of Nathan Drake, and when one retailer expects the Uncharted 4 release date to arrive.

It hasn't even been two years since Nathan Drake last graced a PlayStation console, in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, but new rumors have more than a few Uncharted fans wondering just how long they'll be forced to wait for the Uncharted 4 release date.

Though the franchise remained conspicuously absent from the PlayStation 4 unveiling, despite an appearance by fellow Naughty Dog project , many fans are beginning to wonder if the Uncharted 4 release date could be revealed next week during E3 2013. Outside of the general hope that Nathan Drake's ultra-cinematic adventures will find a home on Sony's next PlayStation, several recent updates to the Naughty Dog Jobs page have fans wondering if Uncharted 4 might already be in-development at the Santa Monica studio.

At the end of February, Sony and Naughty Dog flipped the freebie switch on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer. Since then, over 350,000 individuals worldwide have downloaded the free client.

The news comes as part of a DLC announcement over on the PlayStation Blog, where Naughty Dog reveals it will offer new DLC every month until June, starting first with "Oddball" avatar accoutrements celebrating Extraterrestrial Abductions Day. Some "Oddball" items include a duct tape mask, a bag for your avatar's head and a burlap sack, also for your head – because nothing celebrates alien abductions quite like a sombrero. [SOURCE]

Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is the latest installment in Naughty Dog's Uncharted franchise, but it is not what you might expect; it's a card game. Retailing for $4.99 on PSN for the Playstation Vita portable, Fight for Fortune can be had as a standalone game, but is at its best as a supplement to Drake's more traditional outing on the Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

If you are intimidated by the depth of card games, fear not; the developers have implemented a really easy learning curve. The eight-hour single player features characters from Drake's Fortune, Eye of Indra, and Golden Abyss. Expansion packs are available for $2.99 to add cards from Among Thieves and Drake's Deception.

Each day this week our writer Vaughn will be putting up an article about one particular level, place, moment, in a game that’s really captures the titles essence but because of this there could be spoilers ahead.. It’s called Levelling Out, and for day two he’s looking at Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted seris has fast become a fan favourite amongst PlayStation players. Just like Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter, Uncharted makes a strong case for why you should own a Sony console. It redefined the action/adventure genre and really showed that creating engaging characters and crafting brilliant gameplay together means you can still have an exciting plot that ties all the elements seamlessly together.

Have you checked out that Vita game? You know—the one that's a shoddy spinoff of a big-name series?

Perhaps Call of Duty: Declassified, which currently has a whopping 32% on Metacritic? Or Uncharted: Golden Abyss, a game that our Kirk Hamilton called "a cut-rate version of the Uncharted games that most people have already played"? How about Resistance: Burning Skies, which Kotaku boss Stephen Totilo called "a mediocre new first-person shooter that has no excuses for underachieving"?

Earlier this morning, Uncharted: Fight for Fortune was confirmed to be hitting the PlayStation Vita on December 4th for $4.99. Wrapped up in the Sony handheld's version 2.0 update, the PlayStation Vita is finally getting PS Plus. Detailing the offering for European users, the subscription-based service will add four free games per month, with the launch line-up including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush and Chronovolt. Like its big console brother, you can expect to see discounted titles, free demos and other content arrive alongside full titles.

Your Vita will also be able to tap into cloud storage for game saves, with an additional 1GB of space added for the portable console. If you're already paying for PlayStation Plus on your PS3 ( three months at $18 or a one-year plan for $50), you'll pick up the service for free on your Vita starting November 19th (and the 20th in Europe), provided they're linked to the same PSN account. There's a quick video outline (and the European press release) right after the break.

During the development of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, the developers at Sony Bend realized they'd gone down the wrong track with its leading lady -- "Almost universally, focus testers hated Chase, the game's new female protagonist," writes Bend's John Garvin, in a new Gamasutra postmortem of the Vita launch title.

"The problem, we discovered, was the writing. In the script, Chase's character was a bit of a smart ass and a little sarcastic," writes Garvin. Thinking "players were going to love" the Chase he'd crafted, Garvin was surprised when he found out "it didn't work out that way."
