Naughty Dog has released the extended E3 gameplay walkthrough from their upcoming PS4 action adventure title Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. “Our E3 press conference demo literally left Drake hanging and with good cause. We wanted to give attendees of E3 a treat and show them if Sully and Drake ever caught up to Nathan’s brother, Sam, in time. The reaction was pretty fantastic”, said Naughty Dog in a statement. “Now, for everyone not able to see it at the show, for those who missed our Twitch broadcast earlier today, or for those who just want to watch it again and again, here it is.” Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes place several years after his last adventure. Now retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be careening into your living room in 2016. SOURCE

Videogame spin-off novels often get off to a running start, in that they leap from a springboard of low expectations; a depressingly large proportion of games writing struggles to deserve praise higher than ‘competent’. Having previously taken the bold decision to publish a Bioshock prequel novel, Titan Books have since put onto shelves The Fourth Labyrinth, the first official Uncharted novel.

All three Uncharted games have strong, well-defined characters; witty dialogue; breathtaking action set pieces; and, in short, some of the best writing in the industry. Though almost perfectly suited to a literary adaptation, the Uncharted series (excepting a few irritating loose ends in the third instalment) sets the writing bar surprisingly high.

Following the revelation of an extended trailer for the forthcoming Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception this weekend, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has published just a few new images representing the game. Alongside the original high-resolution depictions of our protagonist Nathan Drake in the desert, these new images offer hints as to what lies beyond in his latest adventure.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception sees Drake adventuring with his mentor this time around, in search of the fabled "Atlantis of the Sands." Developer Naughty Dog is promising “bigger set pieces and more explosive adventure”, and at this point we have little reason to doubt that they can deliver. Below follows the new images taken from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, officially released by SCEE today. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Hot on the heels of the VGA trailer for ‘Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception’ comes a behind the scenes look at Naughty Dog knee deep in the game’s development.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has finally made its big debut and it’s looking to take as much of the spotlight away from some of 2011’s other big titles. While the trailer certainly did a great job of building hype, Naughty Dog thought they would let their fans take a look the behind the scenes and hear them talk about their hopes and fears when it came time to move past Among Thieves. Just released is a video that shows not only Naughty Dog’s studios but also features Nolan North in motion capture action.

In the video, members of the Naughty Dog development team talk about the praise that Uncharted 2 received and how grateful they are for the numerous Game of the Year nods they received. Uncharted 2 was certainly a fantastic game and deserved all of its accolades, but now that some time has passed it was time for the team to look towards the next entry in the series and where they wanted to take Nathan Drake.

While this may not come as a surprise for some of you – as part of Naughty Dog’s continuing support of our multiplayer community, we’re glad to say we’ve got some new UNCHARTED 2 DLC on the way real soon! Like, next week soon.

On Tuesday, August 17, the UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Sidekick Skins pack will be available for purchase with the PlayStation Store. After the last two sets of multiplayer skins we released, we heard that you wanted more Sully, more Chloe and more Elena (among many, many other things) – and that’s exactly what we put into the pack. Not to neglect the villains team, we also threw in two enemy characters from UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune – Dillon and Mac – who complete the set we started with Blain and Dutch.
