Uncharted 2 PS3 falls to under $50

Sony Corp.'s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for the Playstation 3 was price cut to under $50 in a new retail promotion. On Mon., Amazon.com price cut Uncharted 2 to $49.99, 17 percent off the $59.99 MSRP.

Uncharted 2, in Oct., is an action adventure sequel that includes competitive and cooperative online multiplayer functionality.

Sony in Sept. said the PS3 Slim has sold 1 million units at global retail in three weeks of availability. The company launched the revamped PS3 in the U.S. on Sept. 1 at $299.99. Sony this week will release a new PS3 250GB SKU at $349.99.

Please Don't Quit...Because Right Now I'm Taking You Out!

So you want to quit a game because you are losing, or perhaps you're in a mad mood? Well, too bad. As said by Naughty Dog, "it's infuriating" to have this happen. Although we believe this is just the beginning for penalizing players for quitting early, you can expect to lose a hefty $40,000 from you online cash. It might not hurt as much if you are leveled up, but in perspective players will lose progress of around six or so games. So be a good sport, eh?

Nolan North says team "desperately want to do" Uncharted 3

Nolan North, the voice actor behind Uncharted’s wisecracking treasure hunter Nathan Drake, has let slip that the team are eager churn out a third installment in the critically acclaimed PlayStation 3 adventure franchise.

Fresh from his experience on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, North told the chaps at Pulse that the development team are keen for the sequel to succeed, as “We desperately want to do a third one.”

Naughty Dog has previously touched on the subject of an Uncharted 3, saying that Among Thieves doesn’t wrap up Drake’s story in the least and future games are always a possibility. However, nothing has been set in stone as of yet.

Uncharted 2 comes out next week, and we spoke to the actress who plays Chloe Frazer

Actress Claudia Black has a loyal following from sci-fi hits like Farscape and Stargate: SG:1, as well as games such as God of War, Conan and Crysis. The Australian actress made her leap into the world of performance capture working with Sony and Naughty Dog on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. She took some time away from the set at Hollywood's House of Moves to talk about why Uncharted appeals to female gamers, and how video games have changed the landscape in Tinseltown.

What's it like playing Chloe Frazer in Uncharted 2?

She's a lot of fun to play. She's incredibly relaxed and irreverent. Chloe is Indiana Jones with nice hair. She's way hotter than I am. I love it, but I keep asking the boys to make my boobs big, because I figure if they're going to create me from scratch, apparently you can improve on perfection. Just kidding. They say that the more they see us on screen, the more the animators make the characters look like us and I keep telling them not to because I really love what they have done with my character. And Drake is so hot. It's such a shame that he doesn't really exist, because I think I've got a bit of a crush on him.
