This one goes out to our very own News Director David Oxford and any other Canadian gamers who always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to game promotions.

SCEA has gotten a lot of (presumably bad) feedback about the contests they've been running recently, so to make up for it they're making their new contest open only to Canadian residents. Five winners will get the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Fortune Hunter Edition as well as the Brady Games strategy guide.

Does the Uncharted 2 story suck?

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has been well-received in all quarters. Well, except for by Xbox 360 owners eager to pee on any PS3 exclusive that comes along, no matter how good it may be. But it seems not everyone is so enamored with some aspects of the game, with a possible backlash beginning with a rant about the lackluster storyline.

Uncharted 2 is currently sat at number two on the Metacritic chart for PS3 games with a score of 96 percent. It’s only being beaten by GTA IV, making it the top PS3 exclusive. The visuals and gameplay are nigh-on perfect, of that there is no doubt. But is all this goodness rendered pointless by a generic and disappointing narrative?

Dual Shockers believes so, calling out Uncharted 2 for its story and ending, both of which left the writer feeling disillusioned.

Does Gary Marston have a point? Is the storyline the one aspect of Uncharted 2 that fails to deliver? In a word, no. At least not in my personal opinion. Sure, it may be very reminiscent of countless other adventure books, films, and games, but show me a truly original concept in this day and age and I’ll give you a peanut. They’re very few and far between.
