The Associated Press published a list of top ten games of 2009. First place was taken by Action adventure Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for PlayStation 3, which dealt with the development studio Naughty Dog. Second place was awarded to Assassin’s Creed II, and a loop top three role-playing game Dragon Age: Origins.

In addition to Uncharted 2 in the list were two other games that are exclusive to the console companies Sony. Action inFamous took fifth place, and platformer Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time was on the sixth position. In the list of the best games are also present car simulator Forza Motorsport 3 (ninth place), released only on Xbox 360, and role-playing game Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story (seventh place), created for the portable console Nintendo DS, reports Lenta.ru.

I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's the feeling that says, "perhaps gaming is becoming more like movies...in more ways than one."

Quality has long since ceased to translate to popularity in the film world and up until now, I've always been convinced that all the best video games would also sell the best. Down through history, this has proven true 99% of the time. The list of the best-selling games ever is awfully similar to that of the best-reviewed games ever, but if this trend were to remain true in 2009, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would be the year's top seller.
