Japan getting Uncharted Twin Pack

There’s no doubt that Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series is much more popular in the West than it is in Japan. So to capture gamers’ attention, Naughty Dog is releasing an Uncharted TWIN PACK in Japan containing both Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. If that’s not enough, it’s also offering a sexy golden case.

It’s going for 7,980 yen, Japanese gamers. Rest assured, Uncharted is an amazing game.

Well, if there was ever a way to get me back into Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ multiplayer component, it’d involve character skins from other games. Which is exactly what’s going to happen according to SCEJ, as upcoming DLC will feature inFamous, Resistance and Killzone 2 skins.

Siliconera’s got some shots of the DLC, which are due in Japan net week. They also note a map pack is due on February 25th, including an area from Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, with a further pack planned for April. Awesome.

Free and Premium Uncharted 2 DLC Coming to Japan, Hopefully North America

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was one of the biggest hits for Sony in 2009, and won numerous awards, including Game of the Year. Now, the folks at Naughty Dog are keeping that truck rolling along as they announce some new premium downloadable content to come in 2010, starting very soon... at least, in Japan.

The following DLC is unannounced in this region, but it seems likely that it will show up here sooner than later, especially given how well Uncharted 2 seems to be doing. We'll keep you informed of any North American announcements (and perhaps Europe, too), but for now, here is what Japan is getting and when.

Game of the Year 2009: The Readers' Choice Award

Taking nearly half of the more than 16,000 votes in our Game of the Year poll, this Playstation 3 exclusive garners Kotaku's 2009 Reader's Choice Award for Game of the Year. No, despite Mike McWhertor's vigorous defense of the game, it wasn't Demon's Souls.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves earned about 48 percent of the total votes for Game of the year. Assassin's Creed II came in second with about 21 percent of the vote and Demon's Souls grabbed a distant third with about 16 percent.
