I also would love a full co-op campaign and a little bit deeper/more complicated puzzles. But I also want the book. The book in 2 was one of my favorite things, it was just so full of awesome tidbits like the doodle of Marco Polo in sunglasses.
I was fine with the cover system and stealth and fine with the locales (I mean, sure, more would be nice, but I don't feel 2 was lacking, especially since the ones it had are so gorgeous).
