Frequent updates cause the developer to remove the 'Chapter Completion' tweets.

September 28, 2009 - If you've been following videogame reviewers on Twitter lately, chances are you've been flooded with constant updates when one of the many chapters are completed in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. This has, apparently, become a concern with the game's fanbase.

Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells discussed the situation on Sony's official blog, saying the developer is now pulling back on the Twitter implementation just weeks before the game's release. "Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game," he wrote.

"This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour. We obviously want to provide the best experience for everybody, so for the time being we've disabled Twitter updates on chapter completions. Wells would continue on to say soon after the game ships, a patch will be released to enable the 'chapter completion' twitter update feature, but with a limit on the frequency of updates.
