Flashback Map Pack #1 – a leading name if I ever saw one – contains upgraded versions of the Fort, Lost City, Cave and Sanctuary maps from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Naughty Dog apparently spent months giving these a bit of spit and polish, adding new lighting, particle, and atmospheric effects – there’s rain, snow, ice, spring vegetation, and even an aurora in the night sky. The pack has been available on the European PSN since mid-January, and the trailer suggests it’s now accessible from the US side, too. It’ll set you back £6.49/€7.99/AUD $12.95. Uncharted 3 Patch Prepares For DLC
Today Naughty Dog released Patch 1.04 for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. While the patch itself is pretty minor, it will set the stage for something a bit more exciting: more downloadable content.
The patch is spreading throughout the regions now and should be live worldwide by the end of the day. It fixes Hard and Crushing Co-op Adventure mode so that treasure sets can be properly completed. Pretty unspectacular, right?
However, as Naughty Dog adds: "Patch 1.04 contains the necessary technical hooks for the playing of upcoming DLC. Full details on the DLC content will be posted by February 7th. Please note: Patch 1.04 must be downloaded in order to play the upcoming DLC via online or on LAN Party."
Naughty Dog has released a retro map pack, Killzone costume pack, and three skins packs since the game's launch. I think it's about high time that they release some brand-new maps. However, they did call the retro pack "Flashback Map Pack #1," which implied that they planned to release additional map remakes in the future.
You can buy DLC for UC3 on a case-by-case basis or spring for an all-inclusive Fortune Hunter's Club membership. The Fortune Hunter's Club ($24.99) will give you access to all previous and future DLC for the game. [SOURCE]
