It's Leaderboard time, dear readers. With the breaches and continued outages of the PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment, it's no surprise the slate of video games expected (and rumored) for the PlayStation 3 have been thrust to the background.

That's where reader kyle82886 comes in, with his top five hyped exclusive sequels for the PlayStation 3 (Note: the post has been edited for grammar and clarity):

1. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Easily, this is the most hyped game of the PlayStation 3 … ever. With the huge success that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves had, expectations are extremely high on Naughty Dog to blow us away again. From the videos released thus far, they have already exceeded that.

With just under 6 months till release, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is not only one of 2011's most anticipated titles, but one of the most anticipated sequels in gaming history. Below is a recent video from a motion capture session where we see some of the actors (including Nolan North) perform scenes from the upcoming title. Naughty Dog even discusses how their technology contrasts with that of upcoming detective drama by Team Bondi; L.A. Noire.

Uncharted 3 developer Naughty Dog promises that not only will the gameplay experience in the upcoming title blow people away – so will the 3D experience.



As the continued discussion surrounding the relevance of 3D films, gaming, and subsequently home televisions, soldiers on, fans of the entertainment industry have been privy to a lot of ups and downs for the tech.

Avatar opened to near-universal acclaim and set the bench-mark for the modern theater experience, only to be followed months later by a horrendous post-conversion Clash of the Titans. Similar highlights (and lowlights) have occurred in the gaming industry but, if Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception developer, Naughty Dog is to be believed – the best is yet to come.

The in-house Sony team was quoted in the most recent issue of Edge – with Uncharted 3 lead designer Jacob Minkoff asserting that the upcoming triple-A title won’t just push the boundaries of third-person action-adventures, it’ll also push sales of 3D TVs:

Naughty Dog has had "a lot of internal discussion" on whether it could support a cooperative mode within an Uncharted single-player campaign



Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception recently had its competitive multiplayer modes revealed, but Naughty Dog has yet to divulge what it has in store for co-op. "Naturally, we’ve had a lot of internal discussions on how we could support cooperative play within the structure of our single-player campaign and if that was the right choice to make," Uncharted 3 game director Justin Richmond said in an exclusive interview with NowGamer.
