Uncharted Dual Packs, PSP Dual Packs Spotted at E3

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception looks incredible and is sure to blow us away when it releases in November. But what if you have never played the first two Uncharted games? Luckily, we spotted an Uncharted dual pack at E3, along with a whole bunch of PSP bundles.

No prices for the games were shown, but considering the Resistance bundle costs $39.99, it’s likely that it’ll cost the same. Seen at the Sony booth at E3, we noticed and Uncharted dual pack for the PS3. On top of that, PSP users will get 3 dual packs:

• Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror with Socom U.S. Navy Seals
• Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow with Killzone Liberation
• Secret Agent Clank with Daxter

The Sony rep told us that they’re planning on releasing the Uncharted dual pack in anticipation for Uncharted 3‘s launch.

Uncharted 3 getting LAN support

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will be getting LAN support, due to the PlayStation Network snafu. Kotaku reports that it all stems from when the PSN went down, and Naughty Dog was left unable to test its 3-person co-op and 10-person multiplayer modes.

As a workaround, the developer built in LAN support and went about their testing. It's a happy ending that gets happier with the knowledge that Naughty Dog just opted to keep the LAN support in the game. If you'd like to get together with some friends and a few PS3s instead of fiddling around with chumps online, you can.

Who says the hackers never gave you anything? You can thank them, personally, when they show up at your house ready for some LAN action. Don't worry about giving directions, they know where you live. [SOURCE]

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Co-Op Preview

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will offer cooperative gameplay modes like the ones featured in Uncharted 2. Nathan, along with several other characters from the campaign, can work together towards a common goal. That goal is usually taking treasure and shooting thugs along the way. Sony had an Uncharted 3 co-op demo playable at this year's E3. Up to three players can play together, we played as Sully and Nathan, there wasn't a third person to play as the other available character, Elena.

Into The Pixel 2011: Uncharted 3 Artwork By Andrew Kim

This week at E3 2011, Into The Pixel is exhibiting all of the winners for the Into The Pixel 2011 exhibition. Andrew Kim is one of the artists working on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception at Naughty Dog. Check out his piece entitled "The Pelican Inn" above (you can see a high resolution version by clicking on the artwork), and then head on beyond the break for our full interview with the Andrew.

G4TV's "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" Multiplayer Gameplay

Uncharted 3's cinematics animator on the challenges, rewards of 3D

At E3 I had the opportunity to see new sequences from the upcoming Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in a private screening room. The game looks fantastic, with the expected human emotion and amazing action sequences. I won't ruin any moments for you, but my heart skipped a few beats, and I may have almost teared up once. But I'm a softie, and a huge fan of the series.

An extended trailer for the game was also shown in 3D, and it looked amazing. The effects were subtle and effective, and they added an extra punch to the action. Sony is continuing to provide 3D games that push me closer to buying a new television, and this is just the next attack on my wallet. We spoke with Josh Scherr, the game's lead cinematics animator, about what it takes to bring 3D to Uncharted.

First, they had to play the game using a variety of 3D televisions, all using slightly different technology. Did that feel like creating a PC title, with all the different hardware standards? "A little bit," Scherr told us. "It's kind of annoying, to be honest."

E3 2011 Feature: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Developer Interview

It's fair to say that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is an anticipated title - perhaps the most anticipated title upcoming on the PlayStation 3. It's a big responsibility developing a sequel to the magnum opus that was Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but the folks at Naughty Dog are pretty confident they have it in the bag. Co-Lead Game Designer Richard Lemarchand was able to talk to us at the SCEE booth at E3 about their latest project, and how both the single player and the multiplayer are evolving to keep players on their toes.

PALGN:Thanks once again for agreeing to let us interview you! I was hoping you could tell us a little bit about Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. We've actually just been having a bit of a go on the multiplayer, so could you perhaps tell us a bit about the new features you guys are bringing to that?
Lemarchand: Thanks, it's really great to be talking to you this morning. We're really excited to be showing Uncharted 3 at E3 this year, we've waited a long time to unveil some of these features. And yeah, we're sitting right in front of our multiplayer here which we revealed a month or two ago, and which we're now showing a ton of new content for. We're really excited about the new multiplayer aspect of Uncharted 3.
