In a recent interview with gaming magazine EDGE, Naughty Dog has given away some tantalizing new information regarding Uncharted 3. Area’s covered include whether the game will support PlayStation Move, the story and a lot more. When asked if Uncharted 3 will support the move, the studio responded:
“A Great Move game is a game made around Move and we started Uncharted long before that. It would be very difficult for us to adjust it. We tried a couple of things but it wasn’t making a lot of sense.”
The series has long been known for its chaotic, often outrageous and desperate situations, such as being chased by a missile equipped helicopter whilst on a moving train! When questioned about the sorts of situations present in the new game, Evan Wells, co-president, had this to say:
“Drake is certainly going to find himself in some crazy situations, but we’re also going to have important breaks in action that will give the players the chance to catch their breath and get prepared for whatever’s coming next. ”
Drake often has to do most of the work himself, that’s not to say he does all of it. Supporting characters such as Elena, Chloe (also known as women) have a big part to play in the games, as well as being quintessential for the convoluted twists and turn of the story. Mr. Wells, had confirmed it himself, past female characters will be making a return:
“Rest assured that some of the characters from past games will. Female characters are an important part of the pulp genre and you can count on Drake being tangled up in some new an interesting ways with the women he comes across”
The whole concept of Drakes Deception focuses on the relationship between Drake has with his mentor, Victor Sullivan. Although Sully has been part of the all the games so far, very little is revealed about how far back he and Nate actually go:
“The most important relationship is the one between Drake and Sully. We want to explain more about how they wound up in the father/Son like relationship and how far that bond extends.”
Uncharted 3 is due to release on November this year, exclusively for PlayStation 3. Thanks, GamingBolt.
