'Uncharted 3 Could Be 3D Gaming's Avatar'
Apr. 22nd, 2011 01:31 amHaving seen Uncharted 3 in stereoscopic 3D, Jesse Divnich, analyst at EEDAR, believes Naughty Dog's sequel "could do for 3D gaming what Avatar did for 3D movies."

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception launches on 1 November 2011, will support 3D and may include motorbikes. "Even though 3D televisions don’t fall in the budget of mainstream America and adoption rates will likely continue to be slow, something must be said about how beautiful Uncharted 3 looks in 3D," Divnich said following a recent analyst event at Sony.
"I’ve personally never felt that 3D added anything significant to my gaming experience. Now that I have had to chance to experience Uncharted 3 in 3D, that opinion has changed," added the analyst, "Uncharted 3 could do for 3D gaming what Avatar did for 3D movies."
While it wouldn't result in consumers rushing out to buy expensive 3DTVs, the game will "solidify 3D’s legitimacy in the interactive entertainment landscape, just as Avatar did for the 3D movie experience," concluded Divnich.
